Therefore, please check that you are a member of the group room in Absalon concerning the course. Are you not a member, please e-mail to: [email protected]. When and how The exam paper is be uploaded in Absalon, in the group room of the course in the file: “exam paper upload”. It has to be uploaded as one PDF file including the compulsory “front page”. If the “front page” is not included the assignment will be rejected. Note: new “front page” for electronic hand in. Remember to state the correct number of keystrokes and number of pages on the front page. Start the exam paper with the compulsory “front page”. It is possible to upload a new version of your assignment before the deadline. It is your own responsibility to upload the exam paper in the file: “exam paper upload”. Group assignments If you are a group handing in a group paper, you must only upload one joint paper. Please make sure that only one of you in the group has the responsibility to upload your assignment. The person responsible for uploading the joint exam paper must remember to mark all the persons in the group from the list. Hereafter all group members will receive an e-mail confirming that they - as a member of the group - have uploaded the exam paper. If you for some reason do not want to be a member of the group and not hand in the exam paper as a member of the group you can withdraw from the group. Receipt for the upload of the assignment You will not receive a receipt that you have uploaded your assignment. You can see that your status has changed to ‘submitted’. Important information and guide to upload of exam papers

Dear student,

From this exam period, winter 2013/14, it is compulsory to hand in exam papers online in Absalon: It is not possible to hand in your exam papers in paper.

When and how

Plagiarism

When handing in exam papers online there is automatically control for plagiarism.

Assessment

The exam paper will be assessed when the deadline has expired and it is not possible to get your assignment assessed before the expiration of the deadline.

You must NOT hand in word-documents

Please be aware that you must submit you exam paper as a PDF-file. You must not submit a word-document or more than one pdf-file – only one pdf-file, name the file: “last name.first name”. We reserve the right to reject the assignment if it is not uploaded in PDF format.

How to make a pdf-file

In most new word processing programmes, like Word 2010/2013 and OpenOffice/LibreOffice, you can save your document as a pdf-file. Alternatively, in Windows you can install a program enabling you to make pdf-files, like the free program PDF-Creator, which you can download from this address: http://www.pdfforge.org/download.

PDF-Creator is installed on the student PCs at CSS in the basement of building 2. The it-instructors in room 2.01.02 can help you using the PDF-Creator.

Press Ctrl + P as if you are printing, choose PDF-Creator instead of a printer and the you will make a pdf-file. On Mac-computers you have the same possibility: press print in the menu.

Upload of individual exam paper in Absalon:

1:Choose the group room for the course

2: In the left side choose ”course content”, then choose ”Exam paper upload – course name”

Some exams have a tutor, in that case you choose the file with the tutors name.

3: Click ”submit answer”

4: Click: ”upload file”

5: Choose: ”Browse”, find the file then choose: ”save”.Choose ”save” again.

6: Click ”Submit”.

7: Make a screendump and save it as a receipt.

Upload of group exam paper in Absalon:

Follow the above steps: 1 – 56: Choose the group members in the roll down menu. Click the “arrow” and transfer the name/s to the left column.Click on “Send”

7: Make sure all the names are present on the “submitted” page.

Make a screendump and save it as a reciept

Upload a new version of the exam paper in Absalon:

1: Choose. ”Edit”

2: Choose the pdf.file by marking it (it turns blue).Click “Remove”

Repeat steps 4 – 7 on page 2 and 3.
