UNIT PLAN: FLOWERS FOR ALGERNON

Goals and ObjectivesStudents will...1. Read and interpret the short story.2. Explain Howard Gardner's Theory of Multiple Intelligences and make personal connections to obtain background knowledge and remain engaged during the unit via WebQuest Activity.3. Compare and contrast the story with the film, "Charly" and discuss the similarities and differences in character portrayals from both mediums.4. Respond to a small series of questions before, during, and after textual reading.
