NOTES on SLO assessments:

What assessment should I do in my class? Credit SLO assessment tasks and criteria are determined by the Credit Curriculum

Committee each semester. Noncredit SLO assessment items are determined by the Noncredit Curriculum Committee.

This semester common listening assessments will be used in many courses.

When do I do the assessment? Before the end of the course, usually toward the end of the semester. Choose a time when

you can assess most of your students. You can also give the assessment more than once to capture as many students as possible. Reports are due when grades and progress reports are due – Jan 2nd.

Who can I ask for help? Look at the detailed screen shots and step-by-step instructions or watch the videos on the

CurricUNET website before you begin.

Analysis and Next StepsSince we have been assessing SLOs for a while and are starting to re-assess SLOs, you have current results to compare to past results. Fill in each section in the Analysis section based on past assessments and classroom practices. This is a useful reflective activity that can help us improve on our already strong practices and curriculum. You can look up past CSLO (aggregate) reports by using the public search: https://ccsf.curricunet.com/PublicSearch

What improvements were made, if any, since your last assessment?(If none or not applicable, please state so.)

You can include information about changes to your personal methodology to encourage student success based on your student population, or you might note recent changes in course outlines.

Summarize your analysis/discussion(Include discussion of how your current data compare to earlier assessment data, and the impacts of any changes made since previous assessment; you can also include other data here.)

You can note what methodology has proven to be successful and that you will continue to use, what you feel needs to be changed and how you will accomplish this change, or how the data compares with previous assessments and why.

What future improvements, if applicable, do you intend to implement, based on your assessment data, when are you planning to implement these changes, and how will you tell these are successful?

You might describe individual methodology changes that you mention in the previous section and describe more about these changes and what you will do differently in the classroom; you might state that you will compare data (e.g. prior SLO assessment, grades/successful completion of tasks); or you might relate program-wide changes that are begin implemented.

Future Improvements require that will be requested during the next annual review program review cycle.
