Room 4B – Primary 3Miss Hill

Miss Hill enjoys maths and numeracy. She enjoys spending
time with her dog Teddy and likes going to the cinema.
Numeracy and MathsAll children will be challenged at a pace
appropriate to their learning. Numeracy will be
differentiated with children developing skills in:
Identifying simple fractions
Identifying halves and quarters of
numbers
Estimating and measuring: lengths in cm;
weight in grams; capacity in millilitres
Using appropriate vocabulary to describe
complex 2D shapes and 3D objects
Completing symmetrical patterns
Consolidating addition, subtraction,
multiplication and division
Pupils will investigate numbers and strengthen
understanding and skills through active maths games,
mental maths activities and interactive games using
ICT.

using ICT and books to research the
Solar System

magnetic boards and a variety of
active spelling strategies to
enhance learning
handwriting
reading, through books
corresponding to their book band
and by exploring a variety of texts
using different reading strategies.

P.E.Children will develop skills in athletics followed by team
games. All children are encouraged to bring suitable
clothing and footwear for both P.E. days.
