Hours are from 3:00 – 8:30 PM from Monday to Thursday with additional hours on Friday or weekends, depending on the schedule of events. This position reports to the Board of Directors. The CSSA is one of Canada’s largest speed skating club with over 250 members and trains at the Olympic Oval, the fastest ice in the world. It offers speed skating programs on a year-round basis with programs from age 6 and up to adults. Be part of the development of the next generation of Olympians and motivate athletes to be active for life. Responsibilities: Manage the office of the CSSA, including responding to all e-mails and inquiries and supporting the Board members with their duties; Manage the registration system; Manage the third party payroll service; Maintain the accounting records in Quickbooks; Update the website and social media on a regular basis; Manage the skate inventory system; Manage the volunteer system; Help organize learn to speed skate events; Help organize mini-meets and participate in the organization of club hosted meets; Attend Board meetings and take minutes; Develop, enhance and maintain relationships between the club and key stakeholders such as the Olympic Oval, the University of Calgary, the Alberta Amateur Speed Skating Association and others; and Other duties, as required. Qualifications: Three to five years of office administrative experience, preferably with a sports organization; Three to five years of bookkeeping experience and working knowledge of Quickbooks;

Qualifications: Three to five years of office administrative experience, preferably with a sports organization; Three to five years of bookkeeping experience and working knowledge of Quickbooks; Strong MS Office skills, especially in Excel, Word and PowerPoint; Experience with website updates and social media accounts; Affinity for working with kids and families in a competitive environment; Excellent verbal and written communications skills; Strong customer service and interpersonal skills; Strong organizational and administrative skills; and Proven ability and experience in the above noted responsibilities.
