Language

The official language of the Workshop will be English.

Poster Session

A contributed poster session open for all on biosensors, biochips and nano-biotechnology projects, is being organized in order to enable interaction between the scientists. The organizing committee wishes to urge researchers from these fields to submit their work to this session.

Abstracts Deadline: 3 November 2003

The abstracts booklet will be distributed to the symposium participants and to the public and be posted on the website of the Institute for Applied Bio-Sciences. www.bgu.ac.il/IAB/

Conference Proceedings and publications :

Abstract submission:The Scientific Committee invites you to submit abstracts of papers to be considered for oral and poster presentations. The submission deadline is November 3, 2003. The committee requests that you follow the following simple procedures. Please send the abstracts in MS word format (.doc) as an attachment, to either Serge Cosnier [email protected] or Robert S. Marks [email protected] and indicate if you prefer an oral communication or a poster presentation. You may also send it by fax to 972-8-6472857 to ensure accurate reproduction of your text. Authors will be notified on the Scientific Committee’s decisions on the acceptance of their abstract (s) and on the form of presentation within two weeks of receipt of the abstract. Authors will be informed about the schedule of their contributions in due time.

Abstracts must be sent in electronic form, single-spaced, according to the following instructions:

Keep abstract in a single A4 page and use 3cm for all margins Use Arial font size 10 along the text with a 1.5 spacing Type the title in CAPITAL BOLD letters and center it Leave one line between the authors (also centered) and the title Underline the name of the presenting author Type the institutional addresses of all authors immediately below the names

with a two-line spacing

Add the email of the speaker and if applicable the home page URL of the principle author

Leave two lines between the address and the text Leave one line between the text and any references

Guideline for posterMaximum poster size is 1 meter wide by 1.2 meters long.

Student poster awardConditions of entry are that the student applicant appears as first author on the poster. Your registration form must clearly demonstrate that you are a student with the supervisor’s name. Applicants are required to be enrolled as a student in a BSc, MSc or PhD program.
