You are to produce an animated slide in our communal slide deck where the following elements are revealed: 1) the word or phrase; 2) a definition that you harvest from our class documents or the web; this needs to be phrased in a way that you can understand it and your intended audience can understand it; 3) a visual example from a film or photograph; 4) the likely effect of the device on a defined audience; 5) an application of the device in a film you could imagine making. In regard to these terms, it is helpful to always ask yourself this about a medium like film: How does the apparatus allow us to perceive a story or an argument in a way that our sense organs do not?
