Mental Health Packs

Each pack includes information and vocabulary cards on 14 different mental health conditions including:

Agoraphobia Anxiety Bereavement Depression Dementia Eating disorder Hearing voices Loneliness

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder

Panic attacks Post-natal depression Self-harm Suicidal thoughts

Also includes information sheets on self-help and signposting information to health care professionals and local and national contacts. They are not written in story form. The intention is to develop the vocabulary needed to describe the condition, to raise awareness and to normalise or destigmatize it. By using a name, it is easier to talk about the problem in the third person and in a non-threatening way.

Each pack contains: A series of labelled images of the condition and symptoms. Some helpful hints on how to use with the learner. A picture of a variety of easy and free activities that might help and useful local

contacts. Pictures of health care professionals and labels. A list of professional organisations who you could contact locally for support and

help

We are intending to do one print run in February, therefore please make sure all requests are made before end of 31st January 2020. Each mental health pack will include all 14 conditions. Free to collect from SAVTE, or alternatively via post at £5/pack.

We would appreciate any service user feedback which you can provide via emailing [email protected] within two months. In order to qualify for the limited number of free packs your organisation needs to demonstrate;

That it works in direct contact with clients who will use the resources. That it is a voluntary, not-for-profit organisation. That it will provide feedback within two months of receiving the free packs.

To order the set please email [email protected] by the 31/01/20 and we will send you an order form to complete.
