Categories: these are like broad subject headings, for example ACES Meetings, Fiction Focus, PLWA Projects etc. You can add extra categories to make sure your post can be searched and found by category.

Tags: These will help people when they are searching the blog – think of words you might look for yourself,as though you were searching Google.

Once these have been added you can publish your post. You may wish to preview it first to pick up any typos. If you see any mistakes after it is published, click on edit this and have another go.

How to add an image or file to your post:

Above the box where you type your post are a few symbols next to the words Upload / Insert.

The box is to add an image, the film is to add a video, the notes are to add audio, the star is to add media, and the circle is to add a poll.

When you get to the point in the post where you want to insert a document, click on the box to add an image. The document can be a word document or a pdf or jpeg. Follow the instructions on the screen, then preview the post to check it all works. It can add the document as an image or a link.

To add a photograph, you use the same process.

Other options under the Posts heading on the Dashboard are Edit, Add New, Categories and Post Tags. As an editor you can influence which categories are used and how they are displayed.

Using the Blog

This page explains how to use the blog. You cannot post comments on this page.

About the ACES PP Blog

This second blog is an online space to add contact details for authors, illustrators, presenters for adult library programs, and review and suggest performers and providers

You need to be a member to read or post to this blog. Why? Because we are listing performers and authors private contact details, we have kept this blog for members only. We’d also like you to be honest in your reviews.

Why can’t we have a paper list of presenters like we used to?Because any hard copy list goes out of date very quickly, and relies on one person to keep it updated. By having this information online and accessible to many people, the responsibility is spread among lots of people, and we can all keep it up to date, and share information about great new presenters.

Please ask one of the Administrators listed above to join you to the blog.Note: you cannot subscribe via RSS feed to the ACES PP blog.
