Notes – Combining Like Terms We combine like terms in order to simplify
expressions.
Vocabulary:1. Terms = sets of numbers and/or variables
separated by addition and subtraction
2. Like = the same kind of term
3. To simplify = group together all terms that are the same and add or subtract them
