More than 300 cattlemen from across the country are attending the live video auction which will feature calves on cows, feeder cattle, weaned cattle, and bred stock cattle. All cattle will remain on the farm until delivery. The auction, which began at 7:30 a.m. today, will continue until approximately 6:00 p.m. The Superior Livestock Gulf Coast Classic Cattle Auction is open to the public for anyone who has an interest in buying and selling cattle or would like to learn more about the cattle industry. This is the second time that the Superior Livestock Cattle Auction has been held in Natchitoches, Louisiana. Superior Livestock Auction, founded in 1987, is the largest livestock auction in the United States. Superior Livestock Cattle Auction host auctions about every two weeks throughout the United States. Today’s cattle sales will total approximately $45 million and will be the most cattle sold in Louisiana at one time. The cattle auction is being broadcast live on Dish Network Channel 232.
