Pelleting Technology Netherlands (PTN) is specialist and worldwide active

One of our recent innovative solutions is our High Efficiency line (HE-line).
The development of our new HE-line concentrated not only on higher
performances and a more ergonomic and hygienic design but also more
capacity with a same energy level. The new HE line gives excellent access
to all maintenance areas for easy maintenance and cleaning.
The details make the difference in this feeder screw manufactured entirely from
stainless steel. The geometry of the shaft flight guarantees a uniform product flow.

F e e d e r S c r e w
The details in development and engineering make the difference in this
conditioner. Wide sized paddles, adjustable in both height and pitch, create a
homogeneous mixture and an hygienic process.

C o n d i t i o n e r
A closed, insulated and heated mixing chamber, in which a mixture is heated with
dry steam by a shaft which can rotate in two directions. Two PT 100 temperature
sensors register the preset temperature after which the electro-pneumatically
controlled flap of the outlet is opened. A 100% guarantee that the mixture, right
from the first kilo, undergoes the desired thermal treatment in order to combat
bacteria, such as salmonella.

The heated retention time barrel is used for the thermal treatment of i.a. animal
feed (meal) in order to eliminate bacteria such as salmonella. The product remains,
during a preset length of time, in this heated and insulated retention time barrel.

R e t e n t i o n T i m e B a r r e l
The BOA Compactor has a patented pre-compacting technology, which is a
unique alternative for double pelleting or expander technology.
In the double-walled mixing chamber steam and liquids are dosed to the
feed. The mixture is compacted by two friction rings which are hydraulical
controlled.

The Progress Pellet Mill is a highly stable, robust and refined pellet mill.
The technological concept ensures an even distribution of the enormous
mechanical forces on the heavy bearings of the solid main shaft and
intermediate shafts.

The PTN counterflow pellet coolers are used for cooling pellets and expandate
to nearly ambient temperature. By drawing air through a product layer which is
variable in height the product is cooled. Smooth discharging is ensured by the
dischargesystem and a 100% clean out by the pneumatic cylinder.

C o o l e r s
Rotary sifters are available in single-deck and double-deck versions. A rotary
screen plate in a steel housing ensures that the product is sieved effectively.
This type of sifter is often used as a pellet sifter, with the sieved fine particles
being fed back into the pellet mill. It is also used as a bypass for hammer mills,
routing fine particles outside the hammer mill to the next phase of the
production process.

A specially developed and patented vertical shaft construction, with two separate
drives, combines eccentric and centrifugal movements for an optimum sifting
result. The special steel-wire sieve fabric has 25% more throughput in comparison
to perforated sheet. The refined concept has a low energy consumption and long
maintenance intervals.

HIGH EFFICIENCY
PTN’s crumble technology is based on two large, independently driven
rollers. This ensures an optimum result. Minimum fines with maximum
crumble. An integrated rotating feeder ensures an even distribution
of the pellets to the crumbler rollers.

The Roller Mill is developed to break and structurize various materials with
an optimum result and low energy requirements. One, two or three on top
of each other mounted units, each with two large, independently driven
rollers. In the top unit a frequency controlled rotating feeder ensures an
even flow to the breaker rollers.

Our top-quality Ring Dies guarantee the best pellet quality. We manufacture Ring
Dies for all brands of Pellet Mills. The dies are characterised by the special
distribution of the die holes in the ring. The relative position and pattern of the Die
holes in our Ring Die encourage optimum capacity of the Pellet Mills for a
specific product and pellet size. The unique hole distribution of our Ring Dies
ensures longer life, higher capacity and lower power consumption per tonne of
produced product.
PTN’s Ring Dies are applicable in a wide range for industries such as compound
feed, aquafeed and recycling industry.
R i n g D i e s
PTN offers Roller Shells for every particular application. A roller shell ensures the
pressing of raw materials through a die. All Roller Shells are made of high quality
and wear-resistant steel. The hardening and tempering process ensure a maximum
durability. Our Roller Shells are applicable for all kind of brands and type of
configuration. Each configuration has a geometric design to provide maximum
production and pressing of raw material through a die.
