Before we begin, let’s take a look at common buttons in eSped and how to use them. (These

buttons will be discussed throughout the tutorial):

Previous / Next: These buttons are always located at the top of each page and allow the user to go back and forth from page to page’

Save: This button saves all information that has been added to the page.

Reports: This button allows the user to access the reporting screen for use in creating, printing and e-mailing pages or reports from the student record.

Create: This button (located on the top of the reports page, will create a report for the user.

Refresh: This button updates the screen to show the status of a report or export

Archive: This button will save a created report to the student’s archive for review at a later date.

Before we begin, let’s take a look at common buttons in eSped and how to use them.

(These buttons will be discussed throughout the tutorial):

View: This button is used to view a report or export

Print icon: This icon appears on reports or documents archived in the system. By clicking it, the user can print a hard copy of the document.

E-Mail icon: This icon appears on reports or documents archived in the system. By clicking it, the user can e-mail a copy of the document.

Save icon: This icon appears on reports or documents archived in the system. By clicking it, the user can save a copy of the document to their PC.

Find Students: This button will enable a user to find a student stored in the database.

Add Student: This button enables a user to add a student to the database. (NOTE: You must enter the Student’s NAME, ID NUMBER and CAMPUS!)

In order to begin using the eSped system, you must first log onto the eSped website. Click the icons below to display the instructions for logging into the eSped system:

1 Access the Internet by opening Internet Explorer on your PC

2 Type www.esped.com into your browser’s address bar

Once you have clicked “eNotices and Consents” the Select Student screen will appear.

From this screen, you can search for students in the eSped database.

The Student List will be displayed and will contain students assigned to your school. You may now access the student’s individual record by clicking the button containing the student’s name:

Each time you access a student’s record in eSped, you will have to select a reason for your action. This is done to insure compliance with the Federal Education Right to Privacy Act (FERPA).
