Wizard of animation, the father of the famous Mickey Mouse, Bambi, Pluto the dog, Donald Duck and many other

 animation heroes, Walt Disney may rightly be considered one of the most important people in the world of cinema.

Walt Elias Disney was born on December 5, 1901 in Chicago, he was the son of Elias and Flora Disney. When the boy became older, his family moved to a farm in Missouri, where he 

spent his childhood.

Walt loved to draw. He sold his drawings to his neighbors. It was very helpful, as Disney’s family had five children. Walt tried to earn money not only by selling paintings, he also sold newspapers and popcorn in the trains, and later helped his father to deliver the mail.

During the First World War Disney served in ambulance of the Red Cross in France. In 1919 he returned to Kansas City and got a job with an advertizing company.

The Foundation of the company

In 1923, Disney moved to Los Angeles. In Hollywood Walt rented an old camera and a garage which he turned into a small studio.

Walt’s brother Roy lived in Los Angeles, he was good with money and worked in a bank. They became partners. Walt loved

cartoons and was full of ideas.

One day Walt had an idea to make a mouse the main character of the cartoons. He saw this mouse character as a funny, friendly little thing, who could speak, dance and sing, and who, in fact, could live like a man. The first two silent Mickey Mouse cartoons were created in 1928.

Mickey became an icon for Walt Disney Company and the symbol of American pop-culture. For a long time Disney

himself voiced Mickey Mouse in his cartoons.In 1929, Walt Disney began to implement the first Mickey

Mouse clubs which were located in hundreds of movie theaters across the United States.

In 1933-1942 the studio released animated shorts and features, such as:

Dambo (1941) Donald Duck(1933)

Bambi (1942)

The Walt Disney Studio created more than one hundred cartoons, between them:

CinderellaThe Snow White and the seven Dwarfs

Alice`s in the Wonderland

One day an idea came to Disney. He wanted to create an amusement park for children and their parents. On July 18, 1955, Walt Disney opened Disneyland with a live television broadcast. On a huge territory everything is arranged as if it were a fairy land.

Disneyland

The park is divided into five theme parks and Frontierland. At Disneyland everyone can find something to enjoy

themselves. You can drive an almost real car like Walt Disney with his daughter and grandson. You can take a funny

old-fashioned train, you can have a voyage on an old time ship, you can travel to the stars, you can take a trip to the

mountains, you can meet all the Disney characters, and see most wonderful fireworks in the night sky of Disneyland.

Disneyland continued to grow and attract visitors from across the country and aroundthe world.There are five Disneyland Parks:In Paris, Tokyo, Florida, CaliforniaAnd Hong Kong .

Nowadays Disney’s cartoons and films are very popular among children and adults all over the world. The Company continues to create new features and movies, produce customs for children

and attract thousands of tourists with its amazing parks.
