Friends of the Library Big Book Sale!The Friends of the North Vancouver District Public Library are hosting one of their legendary book sales this May.

Books, CDs, and DVDs will be on sale for 50 cents to $2. On Sunday everything is 1/2 price. Or, fill a bag of books for $3 or a box of books for $6 on Sunday. Please bring your own bag to carry your purchases.

WORKSHOP: Ease Into EbooksDid you know your library has ebooks you can access for free? Learn all the basics about Library ebooks at one of these free sessions. Join us to learn the following: the differences between various ebook file formats; which devices will work with the library’s collection; and how to find, checkout and download free content from British Columbia’s Library to Go collection.

School bullying can cause physical and psychological damage. Is this damage any different when bullies target those of certain racial backgrounds or sexual orientations? Who should take responsibility for protecting those being bullied? This session will be moderated by SFU’s Dr. Brian Burtch, co-author of Get That Freak: Homophobia and Transphobia in High Schools.
