It is a religious minority institution owned and managed by the Catholic Diocese of Pala. The fundamental aim of the Alphonsa College is to impart spiritually-oriented and value-based education to young women under circumstances congenial to their all-round development. It encourages the students to aim at excellence not only in academic pursuits, but also in every aspects of human endeavour to achieve perfection. Alphonsa College Pala, has proven its dynamic presence in the field of higher education and co- curricular activities for the past 50 years. Commemorating its Golden jubilee celebrations Alphonsa College is organizing an International Conference on ‘Advanced Materials and its Applications’ (ICAMA 2014). The objective of the seminar is to bring together scientists, academia and industry in order to discuss various aspects of the technology and to inspire young scholars to take up fruitful research. This seminar would give the participants an exposure to some of the latest developments in the field of Materials Science and also offer a forum for academic interaction with the eminent researchers. The aim is to create an environment for interaction and the exchange of perspectives across a broad range of materials related topics.
