The Algae is made in giant stainless steal containers. The researchers feed the algae sugar, then the algae gives of oil that can be harvested and then turned into fuel.

The researchers use different strands of algae to make different types of oil.

Some algae's produce triglycerides such as those produced by soybeans.

Others produce a mix of hydrocarbons similar to light crude petroleum.

Solar power is the conversion of sunlight into electricity, either directly using photovoltaic's (p v) or indirect using concentrated solar power (c s p) or to split water and create hydrogen fuel using techniques of artificial photosynthesis.

The suns rays can be used for a lot of things.

The suns rays can be used for heating water and creating energy.
