Thank you for choosing the BOSS Snowplow. At the BOSS, designing and building products to

make your job and life easier is our ultimate goal. For over 25 years, we’ve been listening to you, the

snowplow professional, to build products and services you want and bring them to market. It all starts

here in Iron Mountain, MI - the land of brutal, cold winters where we know what it takes to build

products that work in the worst conditions. We know what you go through. So we’re working harder

than ever to deliver the toughest, most reliable plows for you. We’re always here to back you up.

GUIDELINES

This manual is intended to assist the BOSS Snowplow employees and affiliated Distributors and

Dealers in designing and producing communications materials. The goal of this manual is to

establish a clear, consistent and unique visual identity for the BOSS Snowplow. All information in this

manual is useful, however the key components are the BOSS Premium Logo, BOSS Blade Logo,

the BOSS Owners Group Logo, and the BOSS Color Palette.

All Graphic Standards in this manual are mandatory.

NOTE:

The BOSS Snowplow reserves the right to decline usage of the BOSS Snowplow name or

brand representation in any situation the company deems inappropriate for any reason even

if the BOSS logo usage meets these guidelines. Any collatoral material that is not expressly

approved is considered not approved. The BOSS Snowplow may also require you to recall

and/or reprint any marketing materials that do not meet with BOSS Snowplow current brand

standards. The BOSS Snowplow must review and explicitly approve all artwork prior to

production. Please email all artwork submissions to: sales@bossplow.com - subject line

“Artwork Approval (your company name). ”

Premium Logo

The BOSS Premium Logo is intended for use on

stationary print materials. Posters, banners,

business cards, envelopes, letters, and all

stationary. The BOSS Premium logo can also

be used on promotional materials when printing in

full color (Outdoor signs, window graphics,

lighted signs, etc.).

Minimum Size & Logo Spacing

Minimum Size = 1.5” wide x 0.775” high.

Minimum Spacing is always 2X where X is the space

between the B and the edge of the red area in the

BOSS Premium Logo.

Website Use

Minimum Size = 2.25” wide x 1.1624” high

Web version is always at 72 DPI.

NOTE:

The BOSS Premium logo will be adjusted

accordingly depending on the background

color that the BOSS Premium logo is imaged

over. White will be used on dark backgrounds

and Black will be used on light backgrounds.

Blade Decal

The BOSS blade decal is intended for use on

all straight blade and V-blade applications. This

decal is strictly for use on blade applications.

This version of BOSS is not for use on any print

or collateral material and is intended for inside

use only.

Single Color BOSS Snowplow Logo

The BOSS single color blade logo is intended

for use on print materials that only require a

single colored logo.

Size and Scaling

Size and scaling will be determined based on the

blade size.

Owners Group Logo

The BOSS Owners Group logo is intended for use

in any communications with BOSS Owners group

members. This is offered as an exclusive decal for

members of the group.

Minimum Size

Minimum size = 2” wide x 2” high

NOTE:

The BOSS Owners Group alternative logo

is used in some instances. This logo can

be applied to clothing or stationary.

(Please refer to artwork submissions on the

guidelines page.) The color will be adjusted

accordingly to the background color

(Red, Black, or White).

Printed Clothing

The BOSS Snowplow logo can be used in several different variations on printed clothing. “Snowplow”

will always be associated with the BOSS Logo to distinguish the BOSS brand. All designs must still be

approved (Please refer to artwork submissions on the guidelines page).

Embroidery & Screen Printing on Clothing

The BOSS Snowplow logo will always be

placed on the Left Chest (for the wearer).

Shirt color will dictate which color BOSS Logo

is embroidered (red, black, or white).

It is recommended that everyone from a distributor,

dealer, or department of BOSS order the same

color and style of shirt where possible for the

sake of consistancy and visibility.

Promotional Usage

The BOSS Snowplow logo can be used on a variety

of promotional items. Any promotional items not

offered specifically by the BOSS Snowplow

(Counterstools, Lighted signs, etc.) Must receive

Pre-approval.

Truck Decals

The BOSS Snowplow logo will be White and outlined with Black when installed on truck applications.

BOSS Snowplow will be scaled to fit accordingly on the following sections; Hood, Left and Right Doors,

and Back Window. The BOSS Snowplow website BOSSPLOW.COM logo will be scaled to fit

accordingly on the following sections; Rear Left and Right quarter panels, and Back Tailgate.

BOSSPLOW.com will use Helvetica Bold or Arial Bold as the font selection, it will be White and outlined

with Black.

Truck Decal Layout

The BOSS Snowplow Logo is to be Scaled and Centered on the Hood and Left/Right Side Doors.

BOSSPLOW.com will be scaled and placed on the Windshield, Rear Tailgate, and Rear Quarter panel.

installing BOSS Decals).

Pantone Color Matching

The BOSS Snowplow red is Pantone® 485 C. You should always match this color when printing

any collatoral material. The various shades of red are used in the Premium Logo and part of the

gradient effect.

NOTE:

The colors shown in this manual have not been evaluated by Pantone, Inc. for accuracy and

may not match the PANTONE® Color Standards.

Improper Logo Use

The following examples apply to all BOSS

Snowplow logos. The integrity of the logo must

be respected at all times. Please refer to the

bellow list when using any of the provided

BOSS Logos.

1. DO NOT re-create or retype the words.

2. DO NOT stretch or alter our logo in any way.

3. DO NOT change our logo color.

4. DO NOT use graphic effects on the logo.

5. DO NOT place our logo in a different shape.

6. DO NOT overlap other graphics, text, or

photography

7. DO NOT angle or change direction of logo.

8. DO NOT use the offical BOSS logo in a body

of copy.

9. DO NOT change the size of the “Snowplow”

text in any way.

Approval Process

The BOSS Snowplow will provide all electronic files of the Premium Logo and single color logo in

several different styles and graphic formats. When your artwork is complete you will need to

submit everything to BOSS for final approval.

1. Complete Advertising Pre-Approval form (pre-approval form found behind Dealer Access area of

Bossplow.com or contact BOSS to request a physical form).

3. Upon receipt of materials, please allow at least 5 buisness days for BOSS to review and respond.

We will inform you of any changes that are needed. If artwork is approved, we will email, call or fax

you with approval. If you do not hear from us within 20 days, assume your artwork has NOT

been approved, and that you may not proceed with production. Please contact us immediately

after 20 days of no contact at sales@bossplow.com.
