Impatiens Placemats
Supply List: Judy Niemeyer Impatiens Placemats (Can be purchased from instructor prior to class at www.quiltsensations.com ) Purple Thang/Stiletto Add-‐a-‐Quarter Ruler* 3.5 x 13”Plastic Template (for folding)* Flower Pins Glue Stick (non-‐permanent) Glue Pen Gallon Plastic Bags Large Paper Clips Metal Black Clips Rotary Cutter/Blades Self-‐healing Cutting Mat Thread/#70 Needles At least 6 x 18 grid flat ruler *Instructor has designed a kit with (6” & 12” Add-‐a-‐quarter ruler with matching templates) for sale in class – which is not needed until then – and ruler area is wider to protect your fingers while cutting. ** You will need your normal sewing supplies and machine Material Requirements: All material requirements are listed on the pattern. A good rule of thumb – is to purchase additional fabric in each color – any amount from ¼ yard should do. This is just in case you might run short – and mistakes can happen while cutting or piecing. Save your scraps – you could possibly need them later… CLASS PREPARATION: Please insure that you have all your papers, templates and fabric cut out prior to class. Judy had designed a technique to help you in being organized in working on her patterns – thus the reason you place certain pieces into to one of the three Ziploc/plastic bags. Come prepared “Bright Eyed and Busy Tail” – because we will learn the techniques that will help you complete your project!
