Juniors or Community Colleges are universities that offer the first 2 years of the Bachelor diploma, Freshman and Sophomore years : you get an Associate degree (AA or AS), US State diploma equivalent to a Bac+2 (DUT, DEUG), which grants you a 1-year work permit in the USA as all American state university degrees do. To continue and get your Bachelor, you will have to transfer to a major university.
Many transfer workshops are held throughout the year. This is one of SRJC's top priorities : to help SRJC students to transfer to major universities. Several times a year during "transfer fairs", the major universities CSU (California State University), UC (University of California), IVY LEAGUE (Harvard, Yale, Cornell, Columbia...) and top 100 USA come to Santa Rosa Junior College recruit their future students and offer, according to your results, scholarships for the 2 last years of your Bachelor degree.Top transfers for SRJC students are UC Berkeley, UC Davis, UCLA, Cornell, Columbia, Sonoma & San Francisco State University.

Admission requirements : Interview (by phone) + 3 last quarter transcripts + English cover letter + Toefl iBT 61 minimum (IELTS Academic 6.0) + BAC (High School diploma, OIB, IB) If your English level is not good enough (Toefl iBT < 87), we offer many intensive English preps in California (San Francisco, San Diego, Los Angeles) for 1 to 6 months before your academic college entry.
You will start your academic year "Fresh Man Year" alongside the other American students ! You can choose to study between over 100 majors, some of which allow you to try different fields before you specialize, if you do not know how to orient yourself.

The mission of the International Student Program is to increase the international student enrollments to help diversify the student population at SRJC and ensure international students are provided the services needed for their success : to assist foreign students with priority registration, with transfer to major universities to continue their studies, with campus employment and all scholarship opportunities, with housing nearby, and more. SRJC has approximately 200 international students.

As one of the best college universities in the USA, Santa Rosa Junior College (SRJC) is known for academic excellence, superb faculty and staff, comprehensive student services and beautiful facilities. Founded in 1918, this beloved community institution enrolls approximately 28,000 students each semester. SRJC's main campus is located 52 miles (84 km) north of San Francisco, with ivy-covered brick buildings on a backdrop of rolling green lawns, dotted with ancient oak trees, redwoods, flower gardens, and manicured lawns in a parklike setting in the heart of Santa Rosa, California. SRJC has two campuses, a 148-hectare college farm, a public safety training center, a culinary arts center, a planetarium, an art galery and a museum.
Student life is vibrant, with over 40 clubs, conference-winning athletic teams, nationally ranked speech and debate teams, and outstanding theatre arts, music and dance programs.
