The physical and psychological condition of an athlete can be monitored through:

- Visual observation- Interviews and discussions- Ongoing testing: comparing pre-test to

post-test (after injury).- Observation of video footage- Use of performance evaluation sheets- Visits to medical personell.

Psychological readiness is influenced by confidence and a positive outlook in preventing re-injury.

Athletes should not return before proper recovery, due to pressure.
