Post-Partum Hemorrhage (PPH) represents a global obstetric emergency: it is the main cause of maternal morbidity in the world and one of the top 3 causes of maternal mortality. The risk of death from PPH is much lower in high-income countries than in developing ones, where 99% of the annual 14o,000 deaths occur. This imposes a devastating social burden on already vulnerable communities, whose fragility is further exacerbated by the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. The "gold standard" for the management of PPH in industrialized countries is the Bakri® balloon which, however, cannot be extensively applied in developing countries, due to its cost. The primary goal of the BAMBI project is to design a kit to perform the more affordable CBT technique, allowing a correct and successful management of PPH at home in low income countries.
