There are some changes in the dress code for the 2011-2012 school year.

Dress code will be enforced. Keep these rules in mind when

shopping!

Shorts/Skirts/Pants – All shorts and skirts must be no shorter than four inches from the bend in the back of the knee. Waistlines should rest on or above the hips. Slits, rips, or holes extending more than four inches from the bend in the back of the knee are not permitted.

Undergarments – Undergarments are not to be visible. Undergarments are defined as anything worn under the outermost layer of clothing including shorts, underwear, sweatpants, etc.

Neckline must be appropriate – no cleavage, low cut shirts or exposed midriffs.

Shorts, skirts, dresses must be of an appropriate length – no more than 4 inches from the bend in the back of the knee (and holes in clothing must also meet this requirement)

Shoulders must be covered. All undergarments must be covered – pants

should not be worn in a way that shows underwear, shorts, etc. worn underneath, bra straps should be covered, clothing should not be transparent or excessively tight

Head coverings are not to be worn in the building. (all hats should be put away (in book bag, locker, etc.) between 7:20 and 2:10.

Bend your knee. A crease will form at the back of your knee.

Measure from that crease up. The skirt or shorts must be 4 inches or

less from the bend in the back of your knee.

Measure the same way you do for a skirt or shortsBend your knee. A crease will form at the

No! Jeggings and leggings are not pants. Anything stretchy and/or excessively tight does not meet dress code.
