DETECTION OF CELL PHONE USE

• With the multi-band, monopole antenna, the unit will detect and indicate RF signal(s) -60 dBm or higher

• In a building or outdoors within a radius of 50 feet, any cell phone will transmit at much higher signal level(s) (typically -30 dBm)

• For efficient coverage in all directions, the unit should be oriented vertically, with the monopole antenna pointing up or down



LOCATING CELL PHONES

• With the multi-band, directional antenna, the unit will identify Line of Position (LOP) for transmitting cell phones within a radius of 40-50 feet

• While sweeping the unit in the azimouthal directions, an LOP is identified when the “Sensitive” scale reads maximum level
