Choice of colors. Pas-Gon profiles and bars can be fabricated with ordinary power and hand tools. For faster cutting speeds and longer tool life, use carbide or diamond blades, bits and wheels. Sawing Drilling Punching Adhesives Bolts and Rivets Wet cutting permits greater feed speed, uses less power, eliminates dust. Use high-speed twist drills with wide flutes and high pitches. Back up the work with wood to keep the hole from breaking out on the back side. Thicknesses up to ½" can be punched with specially shaped punch that permits only a small part of the cutting edge to penetrate the material at any one time. Strippers allow the punch to be removed without cracking the material. For the strongest, most reliable connections, use a combination of an adhesive and a mechanical fastener. Design the joint to avoid excessive peeling stress. Clean contaminated surfaces with acetone. Sand the surface lightly before applying an epoxy or polyester adhesive. Apply an adhesive to the inside of the hole before inserting the bolt or rivet. The tighter the bolt or rivets is in the hole, the better the connection will be.
