Paul Ireland, North's young centreis showing improved form with everymatch. His game last week wasreally good and capped this- fine qisplay with a good try.

Making h:is mark felt _in Sout4 Clubis Roy Mccarter, beside being amember of the Management C<Jmmittee Roy was also elected as aSelector. Having been a prominent footballer in his day he knows both sides of the question.

Judged on his display in the Caltex game last week, Hilton O'Connor Waratah winger, mu_st be pressinghar<;l for selection m the first gradeside. This player besides being acapa.ble winger is able to play anywhere in thE> backline.

Neil Hancock who always plays agood game for North as full back played perhaps one of his best lastweek. His positional play when under pi:essure against the wind played amajor role in his team's win.

Ken Hamilton South winger isO.K. again and takes his position today. Ken is improving every game and should prove a danger to theopposition_.

Cessnock followers are pleased tosee Neil Barrett and Billy Mowattincluded in today's third grade team. Both of these players will be pressing their claims for promotion aftera -few .games.

David Higgins, Waratah's new halfback has already shown great form in the few matches to date. Only19, W-aratah's officials predict a verybriht future from this 'player.

Enjoying the Gold Coast sunshineis Kurri secretary Gordon Cunningham. Gordon is on his annual holi-days.

Doug Brewster, Maitland Reserve -grade half back, continues to show good form, which could force his wayinto the higher grade.
