FINANCE:
The paintings that David Cooley generously donated are still up for auction/bid. Ed Payton is working on how to have them up loaded to an art website for potential bidding to people outside of our circles. IF you know how to do this or have insight into the art world, please contact Ed Payton as he would be interested in talking to you about this subject.

Friday, January 15th, 6:00 p.m. Unbirthday Party – Everyone is accustomed to being feted on his/her birthday, but has anyone ever celebrated you on your unbirthday? We will have a potluck soup & salad dinner to warm us up during the cold winter, while we are seated at twelve tables (one for each month of your HALF birthday – think about it!), talking convivially with other people born during the same month. After enjoying a slice of one of twelve pies, we’ll play ridiculous unbirthday games. Who could resist? (S/Ju)
Sign-up sheets began going around on 1/3 and will continue on 1/10. If you need more information, contact Sarah Maldonado (918/251-8974).

Paul & Mary Staat wish they could have been in class on 1/3. Paul tolerated his chemo well last week (inpatient Sun pm till Wed am) and is now really feeling the after effects. He should feel better next week. He has a PET scan scheduled January 13th to see what’s next. Mary reluctantly stayed hom 1/3 as she is on her second round of meds for sinus and trying to get “perky” to return to school on 1/4.
Please email our Caranatha Chair Carol Grim at [email protected] and copy our President at [email protected] with concerns that need immediate class response or prayer during the week such as accidents, injuries, deaths, etc. For Joys and Concerns to be communicated to the class and incorporated into the newsletter, please email our class mailbox at

in each of us a desire to be united with Jesus in a common purpose. Make our longing for unity deeper than our longing to do our own will. Give us a heart for others. Give us the signs, the wisdom, and the love we need to learn the art of forgiveness, which is really the art of loving. In the name of Jesus we pray.
