Scope of the new EN• It is proposed to define one new EN standard associated to the WG 11 that deals

with the maintenance of Wheelsets.

• Proposed Title : requirements for non destructive technique on running gears in railway maintenance

• Deals at least with Axle ; recommended to include the wheelset and bogie

• This standard applies to testing of Running Gears of the Rolling Stock Material for detecting the internal and surface defects, during in-service and off-vehicle maintenance

• This standard do not address the quality of running gears delivered by the manufacturers which is defined in the product standards (ex. EN 13261)

• It specifies requirements specific to the Rolling Stock Materiel Maintenance and ask for a definition of the Railway Maintenance Sector and Rolling Stock Material Sub-Sectors
