EASY TO INSTALLUnlike other escape or access ladders that hangon the building, the JOMY® Retractable Ladderstands directly on the ground. Since the buildingdoes not bear any weight, there is no through-bolting or special wall-blocking required.

Extruded from lightweight and extremely strong6063-T6 aluminum alloy, no section weighsmore than 52 lbs. Individual ladders are config-ured to any height required. The ladder is easilyinstalled by two people in less than three hours,using standard tools.

TECHNICAL DATAThe JOMY® Retractable Ladderis tested and listed byUnderwriters Laboratories ashaving complied with allaspects of Uniform BuildingCode Standard NumberAppendix Chapter 34 Ref.3407.1 for exit ladder devices.UL listed (19RO) as supple-mentary means of egress.Evaluated by BOCA and ICBOevaluation services, and recog-nized as a supplementalescape device for use up to 30feet under Appendices ofUniform Building and FireCodes, and as a ladder deviceto provide access to mechani-cal equipment as required bythe Uniform Mechanical Code.Test reports are available onrequest.

5. INSTALLATIONThe JOMY® Retractable Ladderrequires two men approximate-ly three hours to install with nosection weighing over 52 lbs.The Mini-JOMY® requires twomen approximately 2 hours toinstall. Both ladders stand as acolumn directly on the groundand are attached at approxi-mately 5 ft. intervals. Counter-Balanced Ladders are shippedin component parts with instal-lation requiring two menapproximately 2 hours toinstall. The window well ladderis easily installed by one personin 1/2 hour. Balconies areshipped in component parts.Assembly is a simple two per-son, two hour installation.Staircases are shipped ready-to-assemble with completeparts list and instructions.Installed weight is one-third theweight of steel � allowing on-site assembly and installationby two or three persons withoutthe use of a crane or otherheavy equipment.
