LIBRARYNEWS LETTER

KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA ETAH Volume No. 1, Issue 2 Date— September 2016

In the words of Oscar Wilde, “The aim of life is self develop-

ment to realize one’s nature perfectly.” Over the years,

as a teacher I have realized that if the fertile soil of the

mind is enriched with the values of love, Kindness and

Patience the saplings of good education and character

will grow into strong trees and bear good fruits.

“The aim of education should be to teach the child to

think, not what to think.”This has been the endeavor of

the K.V. Etah! Along with touching the zenith of academ-

ic excellence our earnest endeavors at the K.V. Etah! is

to help our children fill their life with the light of posi-

tivity.

LIFE and TIME are the world’s best teachers. LIFE teaches

us to make good use of TIME and TIME teaches us the value

of LIFE by A P J Abdul Kalam

KV Etah celebrated Teacher’s

Day on 5th September with great

enthusiasm. A special cultural

programme was organised by the

students in this regard. The pro-

gramme was presided over by

Mrs. Chandra Rekha, the Principal

of the school. In her speech, the

Principal applauded all the teachers for their invaluable

contribution. She added that the school and the students

owe all their success to the teachers. At the school, stu-

dents also did a role-reversal and gave teachers a day

off from their daily tasks and discussed their experience.

“I always thought it was easy to be a teacher but I could

not even manage the class,” said a class 10 student of the

school. “If you are able to read this today, it is because

you have had a teacher who made an effort that you learn

well. So we spent the day to salute their contribution to

our lives,” said a student of Class 10“.

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan or Clean India

Campaign was started by the prime Min-

the Gandhi Jayanti (145th birthday anni-

versary), 2nd of October. KV Etah has

organized Swachhta Pakhwada on 01-09

-2016 to 15-09-2016 with full zeal and

fervor. A number of activities have been

planned for achieving the real goal of

this nationwide campaign. All the stu-

dents along with teachers have active-

ly participated in this campaign. All have

taken brooms in their hands and clean

the premises of the school. Really, this

‘Cleaning Mission’ in school has been

the source of inspiration for all the stu-

dents in school.

Activities include overall maintenance

of cleanliness of the whole Vidyalaya,

Hygienic maintenance of the school toilets,

essay writing competition on ‘Sanitation’,

speech competition on ‘Importance of Sani-

tation’, Drawing Competition on Swachh

Bharat and many more. Special attention

has been paid on the provision of good

drinking water and maintenance of the

drinking water space. Students have been

made aware in this regard and a team of

students have been formed to keep a close

5th September is celebrated as Teachers' Day as a mark of tribute to the contribution made by teach-

krishnan, who was a staunch believer of education, and was a well-known diplomat, scholar,

the President of India and above all, a teacher. When some of his students and friends

approached him and requested him to allow them to celebrate his birthday, he said,
