June 11th- June 15th Resolution: This exciting new camp is a part of our new film and photography focus at the Exploreum. Students will have an amazing opportunity to look through the lens of a photographer at the world around them. The week will consists of learning the different aspects around a camera (ISO, Shutter, and Resolution), as well as learn-ing the ins-and-outs of different photography programs (LightRoom, AfterEffects, Photoshop, and how to build a portfolio).

June 18th-June 22nd Innovations: It starts with a problem. That problem leads to an idea. That idea is then tested. A solution is found. This exciting new camp at the Exploreum is built around the process of developing new ideas. Campers will be challenged to develop solutions to problems using new solutions with limited resources. With guidance, campers will master the problem solving process using a healthy balance of critical thinking and creativity, all while working with other campers. After all, it only takes an idea.

July 9th- July 13th Get With The Program: This exciting camp focuses on the innovation of computer science and programming through hands-on interactive activities. Campers will learn the basics of several different types of coding including: HTML, CSS, Python, Scratch, Mobile apps, website development and design, animation, and even video games – taking this new knowledge from concept to reality!

July 16th-July 20th Airbus Flight Academy: Ladies and gentlemen please remain seated, and turn off all electronics, because you are coming in for a landing right into the Mobile Exploreum Aeronautical Summer Camp! In this exciting flight camp, the Mobile Exploreum partners with Airbus to build an aeronautical experience for students from the ground up. Campers will gain knowledge into the amazing world of flight. Students will tour and meet with individuals at the Mobile Airbus Facility. The “high-point” of this escalating camp is when the campers have an opportunity to copilot with a professional pilot! Come take flight with us, as we explore the ups and downs of aviation.

July 23rd-July 27th Take 2: This is another new and exciting camp at the Exploreum that adventures into the realm of Filmography and Cinematography! This camp focuses on the science of film, and all of the blueprints that are required to make a good movie great. Students will have an amazing opportunity to work with Cinematography and lm programs. By the end of the week, students will be making movies of their own!

July 31st-August 4th Magnifique!: Campers will harness their creativity in new ways in this interactive art camp. Students will participate in digital art design, animation, and other foundational tools to make their own masterpieces!

TUITIONPayment is due at the time of registration. The Gulf Coast Exploreum accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and personal checks. Cash will only be accepted in person. All campers are required to purchase one camp shirt for $10. Additional t-shirts may be purchased at any time for the same price. Families with more than one child attending full day camps within the same week will receive a $10 discount for each additional child.

MEAL PLANSCamps include two snacks a day, however, lunch is not included. Campers may bring their own lunch or they may purchase a Meal Plan in advance. Please refer to the Meal Plan Calendar online for the lunch schedule.

CAMP TIMESAll camps start on Monday and end on Friday. The hours for each day will be from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Drop off is between 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. Pick up is between 3:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICYRefunds will only be issued on cancellation requests made two weeks prior to the start of your camp session. A 20% processing fee is deducted from all refunds. Within two weeks of your camp session, camps may be rescheduled for a $10.00 fee, but no refunds will be processed. Once camp has begun, no refunds or rescheduling will occur. Additionally, there are no partial refunds for missed days of class.
