Gaining Permission to Work

Home Office - Working in the UK www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/workingintheuk

EEA citizen: Usually no permit required within EEA

Non-EEA citizen:• Tier 1 (post study work)• Tier 2 (employer sponsored)

Tier 1 (post study work)

• Apply after you have passed your course

• Don’t need a job offer• Terms and conditions apply• Gives 2 years permission to stay and

can apply to most UK employers
