InTempo has grown extensively in nearly 40 years time, moving on from the production of semi-fi nished products to the design, development and distribution of fi nished products.Thanks to its experience and professionalism, the company has come

accessories, launching numerous innovative and high quality product lines

over the years. As direct heirs of the artisan tradition, InTempo has opted

for the path of all-Italian production, and operates throughout the Italian

territory while maintaining its entire production chain in the city of Florence.

brand names is guaranteed by the company’s extensive know-how, which

Inside the Guilds there were 5 distinct business activities related to leather: the Art of Furriers, the Art of Shoemakers, and that of Strap makers (manufacturers of leather belts), the Art of Tanners and Saddle makers. The fi rst evidence of these groups dates back to 1282, when most probably the fi rst hand crafted notebooks were made.

Innerhalb der Zünfte, die in Florenz schon seit dem 13. Jahrhundert aktiv waren, unterschied man verschiedene mit dem Leder verbundene Tätigkeiten: die des Kürschners, des Schusters, des Riemers, des Gerbers und des Sattlers. Der erste Nachweis dieser Kategorien datiert aus dem Jahr 1282 – einer Zeit, in der höchstwahrscheinlich die ersten Vorläufer unserer heutigen Notizbücher entstanden.

All’interno delle Corporazioni, attive a Firenze già dal 200, erano distinte 5 attività legate al cuoio: l’Arte dei Vaiai e Pellicciai, l’Arte dei Calzolai, quella dei Correggiai (fabbricanti di cinghie di cuoio), l’Arte dei Cuoiai e Galigai. Le prime testimonianze di queste categorie risalgono al 1282, quando probabilmente già si confezionavano i primi, antesignani taccuini.

A l’intérieur des Corporations, actives à Florence déjà depuis l’an 200, se distinguaient 5 activités liées au cuir: l’Art des Fourreurs et des Pelletiers, l’Art des Bottiers, celle des Cordonniers (fabricants de ceintures en cuir), l’Art des artisans du cuir et de la peau. All the company’s products are derived from the Florentine tradition of master leather craftsmen, who manually worked leather goods in their boutiques from as early as the thirteenth century. With their masterful creations, these workshops were once the heart of ancient Florence and continue to serve as a prime example of high-quality production, capable of withstanding the tests of both time and fashion. In keeping

with these traditions and work ethics, InTempo has opted to manufacture its products locally and to maintain direct control over all the processing stages. In fact, the company believes that this is the only way to guarantee the excellence of its products, while at the same time constantly striving to improve them.

Unsere Produkte stehen in der fl orentinischen Tradition der großen Meister der Lederverarbeitung, die schon im 13. Jahrhundert in ihren Werkstätten Lederwaren in Handarbeit fertigten. Als Ideenschmieden bildeten diese Werkstätten mit ihren kunstvollen Arbeiten einst das Herz des alten Florenz und sind noch heute Paradebeispiel für hochwertige Produktion, die in der Lage ist, alle Zeiten und Moden zu überdauern.

Press campaigns, editorials, sector specific publications and trade shows: thanks to a number of targeted communication campaigns, the Ciak brand has now arrived in 5 continents, and can be found in China, Japan, the United States, Russia and Australia, as well as various other nations worldwide.

The popularity of the Ciak brand has increased over the years thanks to

the company’s involvement with the IED (Istituto Europeo di Design - “the

European Design Institute”), Florence’s Festival della Creatività (“Creativity

Festival”), and the NarrantiErranti micro-narrative project. And there’s even

the “Design your Ciak” Contest (already in its third edition), whereby artists,

graphic designers, illustrators, designers and ordinary people alike are

presented with the challenge of reinventing the Ciak notebook.
