THE STRUCTURE Of THE LEVEL Of THE ABSOLUTE EVALUATION IN TEXT Of THE EMOTIVE PROSE STYLE WITH THE PERSONIfIED

NARRATOR

The present article presents an attempt to investigate into one of the most vital text categories, the one of evaluation. The latter is viewed in the article in application to texts of emotive prose, specifically short stories, in which the narrator is personified. Evaluation is regarded as an independent, integral and hierarchical text category, which makes itself explicit: 1) at different levels (the level of special, general and absolute evaluation), 2) by means of different types of special evaluation (the evaluation of mastery, esthetic evaluation, etc.), and 3) by means of the interplay of the evaluation lines of the characters, the narrator and the author of the text. The following conclusion is made: the level of absolute evaluation makes itself explicit by complete and partial concurrence of the authors and narrators evaluation.

His smile was very sad and his eyes had the look of a dog that has been beaten, but he did not complain, and he never said a hard word of the girl he had loved so well [Maugham 1959: 11].

Often his rheumatism prevented him from doing anything at all and then he would lie about the beach, smoking cigarettes, with a pleasant word for everyone not with standing the pain that racked his limbs [Maugham 1959: 11].

constant toil, but when he bathed his children, holding them so tenderly, drying them with delicate care, upon my word they were like flowers. 1. :King George has many strange subjects. Mr.Kelada was short and of a sturdy

build, clean -shaven and dark-skinned, with a fleshy, hooked nose and very large, lustrous and liquid eyes. His long black hair was sleek and curly. He spoke with a fluency in which there was nothing English and his gestures were exuberant. I felt pretty sure that a closer inspection of that British passport would have betrayed the fact that Mr.Kelada was born under a bluer sky than is generally seen in England [Maugham 1959: 11].

everything. He managed the sweeps, conducted the auctions, collected money for prizes at the sports, got up quoit and golf matches, organised the concert and arranged the fancy dress ball. He was everywhere and always. He was certainly the best-hated man in the ship. We called him Mr.Know-All, even to his face. He took it as a compliment [Maugham 1959: 11].

The article describes the main reasons and peculiarities of borrowings, international and typically English words usage in migration terminology in German language. Research of similarity and distinction of poems of A.S. Pushkin The Copper horseman and The Fairy tale on dead tsarevna on a basis quantitative lexicology under 38 characteristics is lead. Similarity and distinction under these characteristics is marked. A.S. Pushkins poem The Copper horseman differed from a poem The Fairy tale on dead tsarevna on 16 quantitative to characteristics, and a poem The Fairy tale on dead tsarevna from a poem The Copper horseman- on 12 quantitative to characteristics. Similarity and distinction of distribution of natural logarithms from their sequence, since the greatest size, in three non-uniform zones is shown. Mathematical modeling dependence of cumulative quantity of number of graphemes, cumulative lengths and frequencies of words, and also natural logarithms of cumulative average lengths and frequencies on linear, exponential, to the logarithmic, sedate equations, polynoms of the second and third degree is lead. Substantial growth of relative speed of cumulative length of words above relative exponential in the speed for cumulative length and frequency of words for all texts is shown..

qUANTITATIVE PROPERTIES Of GRAPHEMES IN THE NOVEL L. N. TOLSTOY ANNA KARENINA

The article is devoted to the quantitative analysis of Russian graphemes in the novel by L. N. Tolstoys Anna Karenina. A comparison of the natural logarithms of cumulative graphemes of novels by V.G. Sorokins Day of the Oprichniks and Blue bacon. The obtained results graphemes modeled by linear, exponential, logarithmic and exponential equations, polynomials, second and third degree. Shows the similarities and difference between the studied texts.

qUOTATION AS A MEANS Of MEDIA IMPACT

Abstract. The article is devoted to citation as one of the types of intersexuality in media discourse. Citation is studied as a means of evaluation building in mass media. There is a great variety of terms used to denote citation in mass media, there is no one common term for this phenomenon. The article covers the main types of quotations and their role on the examples from the newspaper coverage about the Ukrainian crisis. Each type of quotation serves different purposes (to provide detailed information, accurate nomination, make the story more credible etc.)but all types of quotations in modern mass media become the means of evaluation building and as a result the means of manipulation of audiences opinion.

Summary. The article touches upon the analysis of perspective directions of intercultural communication process. The definition, aims and tasks, resources and methods, object and aspects, as well as approaches and guidelines of intercultural research have been singled out. Main attention has been drawn to linguistic aspect of intercultural communication, which is grounded upon the achievements of present-day cognitive-and-discoursive paradigm in linguistics, in particular language, speech data and non-verbal data, the notions of language personality, language space and worldview.

THE LINGUISTIC PECULIARITIES Of ENGLISH NEWSPAPER HEADINGS WITH AN ONOMASTIC PHRASEOLOGISM

The article describes newspaper headings which contained onomastic phraseologisms in their structure. As phraseologisms or idioms are culturally-marked language units their use in any text and in newspaper headings is always significant and therefore such language units attract much of the readers attention. Under the influence of onomastic phraseologisms other language units, which make up a newspaper heading, do not realize their lexical and grammatical features in a full size. As a result, such behaviour of language means creates an original functional and semantic balance of the language components in the structure of a newspaper heading.
