“Who said romance is dead?”

2012, Collection by Hannah Miles

For her final major project at Loughborough

University, Hannah Miles created a beautiful display

of hand drawn, digitally printed garments, drawing

inspiration from the life cycle of flower and the

beauty they hold once they are deceased. She titled

this collection “Who said romance is dead?”

Hannah’s collection was very well received by

members of the public and examiners and earner her a

spot at London Design show “NEW DESIGNERS”. After

displaying her collection at New Designers Hannah

caught the eye of fashion and interior company Laura

Ashley and became the first independent designer

they had purchased a print from in the history of their

business. Hannah also received much interest from

overseas and through her display of talent and her

confident personality, she was offered a spot working

as a print designer for a global fashion accessories

company based in New York City, Collection 18.

Within 3 months of graduating Hannah was launching

her successful design career in New York City.

Fashion enthusiast Hannah Miles has had an eye for style and an interest in trends from a very early age. Having realised one of the most common questions she was asked by friends was “Where did you get that *insert item of clothing* from?” She spotted an audience for her fashion choices. After landing in New York Hannah was inspired by all the opportunities on her doorstep so she started a fashion blog which she titled “M/LES” websitemiles.com.

Running a fashion blog has allowed Hannah to grow in many skill sectors. Along with important factors such as time management, social media management and fashion forecasting, the effort and professional approach Hannah has to her layouts for each post has developed her already expert skills future in CAD programs such as Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Lightroom and many more.
