What is the Flagship Program? The Flagship Program is a community-school partnership that enhances the social, academic, cultural and physical achievement of Missoula’s youth by creating opportunities that help them to succeed and grow to become healthy and productive adults. Who can join?
All WMS students can participate! Come once a week or mul-tiple days, but come and have fun while learning new things with great mentors!
How can students get involved?
Parents/Guardians and students should discuss program op-tions, then fill out the Registration Form and return it to the Flagship Office (New Gym), Homeroom Teacher, or Main Of-fice. Flagship runs on a first come first serve basis so return the forms fast! Confirmations will be sent home with students with any additional permission forms to be filled out.
When & Where do programs meet?
Programs are held at WMS. Some groups travel off site for programs. Travel is arranged through Flagship, and pickup will still be at WMS.
Parent/Guardian pick up is between 5:00-5:15pm at the
New Gym Entrance on Sussex Ave
unless otherwise stated.
Parents/Guardians can get involved, too!

Homework Zone Homework Zone is an after
school study hall with tutors open to all students. You
MUST bring homework to at-tend! Feel free to sign up for

Take a culinary journey around the globe! Learn
about new foods and how to cook them, and let your

Healthy Challenge: Hangout with peers and mentors and challenge your-self to live a healthy lifestyle. From food and nutrition, to exercise, games, and stress relief. We will work through-out the semester to help you create/maintain your ideal lifestyle. WINTER/SPRING
Art Exchange: This club is for courageous, creative, and community-driven artists. We will be collaborating with Meadow Hill and CS Porter Middle Schools to create unique artwork. Each class, we'll open a new project box from another school. Find out what's inside! WINTER/

Multiple Days
Role Playing Games (RPGs)
This group will play vari-ous games in separate
groups, including Dun-geons and Dragons and
Magic: The Gathering. Great for RPG veterans and newbies. WINTER/SPRING
Tuesday 3:30 - 5:15, Thursday 2:30 - 5:15
GUTS-y GRIT: Join GRIT, a program of GUTS! (girls us-ing their strengths). You will work in groups to identify issues that matter most to you and complete a group action project. After Spring break, we will go to Free Cy-cles together to fix up bikes and do a community action project!

Fencing
Working with Missoula Fencing Association, we’ll learn the skills and practice the technique needed to be-come masters of the sport. All equipment is provided, no experience necessary. WINTER ONLY
Chess
“Knight to Queen’s Bishop 3.” “Checkmate!” Come join the Chess Club and have a strategic battle, learning new skills and meeting new friends along the way. WINTER ONLY
Basketball Shoot hoops Monday after school! Keep up your mad skills and learn some new
ones with this group. All grades welcome! WINTER

Beginner Coding Never coded before, but
always wanted to try? We will explore coding from its
very foundation and hopeful-ly create something awe-
some at the end. We will be using Scratch. WINTER/

Express Yo’self Do you love acting and being
in plays?? In this class we will explore the many as-
pects of drama, theater, and developing your own perfor-

Running/Stretching This program is open to all
runners at any skill level. We will be running around
the neighborhood after school and then taking
some time to stretch it out at the end. This class is per-
fect if you’re interested in running in a low key setting.
SPRING ONLY
Animation Creation Perfect your modeling skills
and create a stop-motion film! We’ll go through the
movie making process, from brainstorming and story-
boarding to filming and ed-iting. Make your creations

Hobby Hour
Struggling to find a hobby you’re passionate about?
Each week, we will explore different hobbies such as,
knitting, photography, and magic. This program is great
if you’re looking to learn some new and impressive

EPIC
Come find your EPIC voice and make a
difference! Students work with high school leaders and other EPIC clubs to design
an AWESOME project to share with Missoula. Facili-

Active 6
Come join the fun in ACTIVE 6 afterschool! We will play
fun sports and games, eat a healthy snack, and meet

AniMeals Superheroes Each week, we’ll take the
Mountain Line bus to AniMeals Cat Shelter and help
the staff with daily chores from cleaning litter boxes to

Outdoor Adventurers Adventure is out there! From
hiking to birding, to plant identification, we’ll learn new skills and find all the
amazing things Missoula has to offer!
