Galileo discovered that mass does not affect the time it takes for an object to fall to the ground.

Air Resistance and Falling Objects Air Resistance: the force that

opposes the motion of objects through air› Depends on size, shape, and speed

Objects Motion Terminal Velocity: objects fall at constant

velocity, force of gravity is balanced by air resistance

What will a parachute do?

Freefall Free fall: when

gravity is pulling an object down and no other forces are acting on it
