    Initial Charging Instructions

    1. Filling in Specif ic Gravity 1.220 +/ - 0.005 at 27C

    2. Rest Period 10 hrs

    3. Minimum Ah input 315 Ah for IM3000, 396 Ah for IM4000, 450 Ahfor IM5000, 531 Ah for IM7500, 540 Ah IM10000

    4. In order to reduce the charging time, the follow ing routine may be adopted. For IM3000, the initial charging current may be 8.4A upto 2.36vpc f ollow ed by 4.2A upto 2.75 vpc . For IM4000, the initial charging current may be 10.6A upto 2.36 vpc f ollow ed by 5.3A upto 2.75 vpc.For IM5000, the initial charging curr ent may be 12A upto 2.36 vpc, follow ed by 6A upto 2.75 vpc . For IM7500, the initial charging curr entmay be 14A upto 2.36 vpc, f ollow ed by 7A upto 2.75 vpc. For IM10000, the initial charging current may be 14.4A upto 2.36 vpc, f ollow edby 7.2A upto 2.75 vpc.

    However, in both cases, minimum Ah input to be given. Under no circumstances, battery temperature should not exc eed 50 0C. In catemperature exceeds 50 0C adequate rest to be given till the electrolyte temp. comes to ambient temp. and charging to be continued.

    5. Condit ions of fully charged

    3 consecutive hourly readings of specific gravity and voltage become constant.

    Top of charge voltage w ill e around 16.2V 16.5V.

    All cells should gas f reely.

    Minimum Ah has been given.

    6. Specif ied gravity of fully charged condition 1.250 +/ - 0.005 at 27C

    Normal Recharging Instructions

    Recharging through Inverter at constant potential mode of 14.4V w ith limited curr ent as specif ied. After battery potential reaches 14.4V, the batteryshould continue in float charge made at constant potential of 13.5V.

    Statutory Notice

    All batteries contain lead, w hich is harmful for humans and environment. As per s tatutory requirements, the used battery must be returned to theauthorized dealer, manufacturer or at the designated collection centres .
