Drugs are chemicals that change how your body works. You may hear that all drugs are bad but if you get prescribed one from a doctor and follow instructions they are referred to as medicine

Medicines like paracetamol and calpol are legal and help you feel better.

Cigarettes and Alcohol are also legal drugs but you have to be over 18 to buy cigarettes and 18 to drink alcohol but smoking and drinking madly is extremely dangerous

Illegal drugs include Heroin, cocaine, cannabis, amphetamines

And steroids( except for prescription )

Drug Abuse Over the last hundred years prescripted drugs have had a

great difference to people’s health. But sometimes people use prescripted drugs for non medical

reasons. Sometimes people trick doctors into giving them drugs

Even abusing a legal drug like alcohol can affect somebody’s social life and can cause liver damage

During 2009 20 % of high school children in U.S.A have abused prescripted drugs

People would abuse steroids because they think it is going to make them good looking and make them stronger

•Over the years there have been many celebrity drug users, quite a few years ago in 2005 supermodel Kate Moss became addicted to cocaine and once under the power of cocaine she let a photographer take a photo of her taking the drug•Recently even Pop star George Michael admitted he had been smoking cocaine and now is in jail. He also admitted that he used to smoke cannabis 25 timed a day and now it is down to eight. The singer has even attacked Sir Elton John because he said he feared of George's health.•And lastly Ricky Hatton has been drinking alcohol madly and has been taking cocaine recently. He also blames it all on his retirement

Cannabis Cannabis is a genus of flowering plants that includes three

putative species, Cannabis sativa, Cannabis indica, and Cannabis ruderalis. These three taxa are indigenous to Central Asia, and South Asia. Cannabis has long been used for fibre , for medicinal purposes, and as a recreational drug. Industrial hemp products are made from Cannabis plants selected to produce an abundance of fiber and minimal levels of THC a psychoactive molecule that produces the "high" associated with marijuana. The psychoactive product consists of dried flowers and leaves of plants selected to produce high levels of THC. Various extracts including hashish and hash oil are also produced from the plant.

Heroin Heroin

Heroin is a natural opiate made from morphine. Morphine is extracted from the opium poppy. Like many drugs made from opium, including synthetic uploads (e.g. methadone) heroin is a very strong painkiller. ‘Street’ heroin sold as 'brown' is sometimes used by clubbers as a chill out after a big night out. Brown is still heroin but some people mistakenly think it's not as addictive.

alkaloid suffix -ine, forming cocaine It is a stimulant of the central nervous system, an

appetit suppressant, and a topical anesthetic Because of the way it affects the mesolimbic

reward pathway, cocaine is addictive.

Why you shouldn’t have drugs? You shouldn’t have drugs because if you are driving and you had drugs

then it will slow your brain down so if you see someone crossing the road and you keep driving then you suddenly see a person and you try to push the brake then it would take you longer to push the break
