The Hydra’s blood is poisonous The Hydra once had 7 heads. The thing is, that

when one head is cut of, it grows 2 in replace. One of Heracles’ 12 Labours was to slay the

Hydra who lives in a swamp right next to Lerna Lake.

It seems impossible to defeat but Heracles, or should I say his nephew Lolaus, found a way around it. His nephew thought up and idea, and that Idea was to burn the stump straight after it got cut of and therefore stopping it from regrowing a new pair of heads.

Most Centaurs inhabit the region of Magnesia and Mount Pelion in Thessaly, Mount Pholoe in Arcadia and the Malean peninsula in southern Laconia.
