OPERATION

The DX-200 Scamp Dryer is designed to cure plastisol ink on textiles. Theinfrared panel requires about l5 minutes to reach full heat. The heater surface atfull temp€rature is approximately 700" F and will heat the surface ofwork passingon the belt to a desired temperature depending on:

1 . Speed of the belt (this controls the time the gqrment srynfu under theheatei

2. Height ofthe heater, and3. Temperature ofthe heater.

Recommendrtions:

For b€st results in curing plastisol ink, the heater should be 3" above the belt, theheat control should be set to high and the belt speed should be at approx. 20 on thespeed control. Use these settings only as a guide to starting up. Different seftingsmay be required due to different types ofgarments (thickness, quality ofthematerial. etc).

CAP PRINTING

The curing ofplastisol ink on preassembled caps requires the heater panel berotated to a vertical Dosition.

l. Remove the heater hood. Pull straight up usingthe metal tabs located at the front and back of ?the hood.

2.

3.

Lift the panel bracket offthe posts and rotate180 degrees to provide the necessary cableslack. Place bracket back on the posts andtight€n on highest position.

Push heater down on one end so it's in thevertical position and lower the bracket so theheater is %" ofthe belt. When placing caps onthe conveyor, place them about 3" - 4" awayAom the heater. This will give you a more evenheat on the curved surface of the cap.
