Course OverviewData is a useful tool to inform great business decisions. But how do you present figures and statistics in interesting and accessible ways to team members or senior management with less knowledge than you?
This four-day training course will provide a comprehensive overview of how you can record and present data in ways that will help inform great business decisions. The course is about presenting large amounts of information in ways that are universally understandable and how to spot patterns, trends and correlations that then translate into recommendations. The formats covered in the course include charts, graphs, infographics and other pictorial diagrams.
The course also covers use of the tools and software necessary to communicate information in these ways, for clients or your own company. This course is great for anyone who has to analyse, digest and present large amounts of data as part of their role.

Setting up Power BI Service, Power BI Desktop and SQL Server Development Studios Connect to the Azure Adventureworks Data Warehouse Basic Transformations in Power Query Editor Changing datatypes and working with dates Power Desktop modelling Optimising models for reporting Creating calculated measures Creating and managing hierarchies
Day 2: Power BI Desktop Visualisation
Understanding hierarchical axis and concatenating Applying Filters Producing Bar and Clustering charts Understanding and using Slicers Working in Focus Mode Establishing Map visualisations Establishing Gauge charts and KPI Working with Multiple visualisations

Day 3: Working with Power BI Service Uploading to Power BI Service Quick insights Configuring a dashboard Sharing a dashboard Pinning a live page Custom URL Printing a Dashboard Exporting to csv and Excel Power BI Notifications Alerts in the Power BI Service
Day 4: Working with Excel
Importing Excel data using simple data Excel workbook with the Excel data model Connecting to Excel via one drive Managing Query Groups Transforming Less Structured Data Pivot/Unpivot/Transpose
