Access control.

PCS access control relies on advanced RFID access readers, access terminals and upgradeable Access Control Managers complete with the requisite software.

RFID technology.

Contactless identification from a distance, by a card or tag worn on a keyring, is user-friendly and simple. PCS offers all the leading RFID technologies as well as state-of-the-art multi-application cards.

Engineering and customer service.

PCS project engineering is available for project management and individual implementation requirements. Once your installation has gone live, our Customer Service department is your point of contact for maintainance and upgrades.

Biometrics.

Biometric technologies are on the advance. Using features of the human body as a means of identification brings increased security. Biometrics replaces the PIN code and ensures that access cards can only be used by their legitimate holder. PCS offers fingerprint or palm vein recognition.

Long-range identification.

The barrier opens when the vehicle approaches, and there’s no need to open the car window – what a convenience in rain or snow. PCS long-range identification is the solution for sophisticated handsfree requirements.

Door terminals/digital cylinders.

All INTUS products precisely fit into the PCS concept. Door terminals comple-ment PCS access control and integrate individual remote doors into the system.

ERP solutions.

For SAP users, PCS offers the certified “DEXICON Enterprise for SAP” subsystem. Additional interfaces are available for Infor-Baan and Microsoft Dynamics NAV.

Access, time and PDC.

The sophisticated combination of access control with time management, cafeteria data collection, visitor management and production data collection (PDC) is a core competence of PCS and its partners.

Video documentation.

Video technology monitors critical access areas with event-triggered recording: Video capture starts when an invalid ID card is used or when unauthorized access is attempted. The recording is saved and made available for access control. Additional applications such as license plate recognition may also use feeds from the installed video cameras.

Card logistics.

PCS takes over the complete card logistics management for you – either by providing ready-to-use staff ID cards based on your technology and design requirements, or by supplying a complete card production workstation including photography /video equipment.

INTUS Access.

INTUS Access is a compact PCS access control tool

for smaller requirements. The software is designed

for deployment with INTUS ACM Access Control

Managers and any type of PCS access reader including

biometric terminals. This solution is suitable for a

headcount of up to 200.

DEXICON Access.

DEXICON Access in an advanced PCS access control

tool with full functionality, from time/area profiles and

visitor/third-party management to room balancing.

DEXICON Enterprise.

DEXICON Enterprise is PCS’s powerful access control

system with a certified interface to mySAP™ Business

Suite and mySAP All-In-One for access control, time

management and PDC. DEXICON Enterprise connects

to control center systems via an OPC interface.

Endress+Hauser Endress+Hauser is recognized as a leading supplier

of industrial measurement and automation equip-

ment, providing services and solutions for industrial

processes all over the world. The family-owned

group with over 8,400 employees worldwide and a

network of 89 companies in 42 countries generated

yearly sales of approx. EUR 1.1 billion in 2009 and is

managed and coordinated by a holding company in

Reinach, Switzerland. For time & attendance record-

ing, Endress+Hauser has relied on SAP‘s HCM module

since 1995. All the systems for personnel-related

data – T&A as well as access control equipment –

must therefore provide a certified interface to SAP.

Currently, 3 servers are managing approx. 5,500

master records and well over 100 time & attendance

recording terminals across all sites in Switzerland,

Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, South Africa,

India and China. Access control is ensured by more

than 100 control units and contactless access readers

such as INTUS 400 and 600. The time management

terminals and access readers have a customized

design incorporat-ing the company’s logo and feature

country-specific functions and applications pro-

grammed by the customer. The systems’ visual

appearance is just as convincing as their high relia-

bility ensured by PCS’s service-oriented concept.

CLAAS CLAAS is an internationally leading manufacturer

of innovative agricultural machinery with more than

5,500 employees and five German as well as four

international production sites. PCS supplied CLAAS

with a comprehensive access control solution covering

38 access points and additionally installed a time

& attendance recording system. A visitor management

system for the company’s in-house museum handles

more than 20.000 visitors every year. Overall, PCS

installed more than 80 INTUS terminals with CLAAS.

Mair Elektronik

Since 2009, innovative EMS provider Mair

Elektronik has used a video surveillance

system as well as highly secure INTUS PS

biometric palm vein recognition to control

access to its premises. The medium-sized

company specializing in the development

and cleanroom production of electronic

components employs a staff of 58 and

generates annual revenues of approx.

EUR 7.5 million. For its access control

needs, it relies on forgery-proof and user-

friendly palm vein recognition, a pioneer-

ing PCS technology with extremely high

detection accuracy. The system is supported

by offline readers for doors and barriers

outside of the network. Perimeter protection

of the 3,500 sqm site is ensured by six

Convision CC-5355IR video cameras pro-

viding crystal clear images by day and

night. Mair Elektronik in this way also

gives visible testimony to its innovation

culture.

B/S/H/ BSH Bosch und Siemens Hausgeräte BSH Bosch und Siemens Haus-

geräte has deployed an INTUS

solution at its Munich, Germany,

headquarters and at its eight

manufacturing sites with asso-

ciated offices for approx. 1,100

employees. The INTUS solution

performs centralized management

of all data and communicates

with SAP HR. It consists of INTUS

terminals with semigraphic touch

displays, integrated Ethernet

interface and contactless reading

technologies. Approx. 1,000 third-

party users including mechanics,

cleaning staff and visitors to the

company headquarters also had

to be considered in the design.
