Autobiographical—story of a person’s life written by him/her
Narrative—tells a story
The best stories are often true! They tell about real events in a
person’s life
Brainstorm…
Think about this…what makes you who you are today?
Why is this experience important? What insights have you gained from
this occurrence?
Assignment
Write an autobiographical narrative about an event or incident in your life that marked a significant change or provided an important insight
Elements of Composition
Include things like› Main character—YOU› Setting› Sequence of events in order › Conflict› Lessons or insights
The Composition Itself
