We are SO glad you’re here. Undoubtedly, one of the hardest things to do is to just SHOW UP. We hope you think about Westminster as a place where you can GROW UP in God with power beyond yourself and help from lots of people headed in the same direction.
We think people grow in four specific areas. It's what we call the "Grow Cycle." It's not a ladder we climb once, but a cycle as we are continually developed by God from within us.
• We grow when we find a safe place to BEGIN or begin again with God.
• We grow when we find a place where we can BELONG and it’s ok to not be ok.
• We grow when we find a place to BECOME all God has created us to be.
• We grow when we find a place to reach BEYOND ourselves and make an impact in our world.
We want to be a church where all these things can happen. No matter where you are, we’re glad you’re here.
Gary Gulbranson
Senior Pastor

WESTMINSTERIS A FAMILYWHERE YOU CAN…...BEGIN Whether it’s your first time or your first time in a long time, you are welcome here.
Join us Sunday mornings for worship upstairs or for age-related ministry downstairs. More opportunities to BEGIN can be found on page 12.
What will your next step be?
...BELONG Find a place to know and be known. Join a Grow Group to find your place of connection. A listing of available groups can be found on pages 15-17.
...BECOME We are better when we understand and exercise our gifts together.
Join a mentoring relationship to help you grow. To learn more fill out a profile card at westminster.org/MENTORING
...REACH BEYOND Growth moves us towards making an impact.
Join us to see the difference we can make reaching beyond ourselves. Opportunities to REACH BEYOND can be found on pages 20-21.
GROW
CYCLE
The Grow Cycle is the way we think about spiritual growth. It's not a ladder we climb once, but a cycle as we are continually developed by God from within us.
4
We believe in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as being verbally inspired by God and completely inerrant in the original writings and of supreme and final authority in faith and life.
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Often a visitor will ask,
“What do you believe? ” Our
response touches on these
key areas...
We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, and is true God and true man.
We believe that man was created in the image of God; that he sinned, and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death which is separation from God; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature, and, in the case of those who reach moral responsibility, become sinners in thought, word, and deed.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice; and that all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood.
We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into Heaven, and His present life for us as High Priest and Advocate.
We believe in “that blessed hope,” the personal, premillenial, and imminent return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
We believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God, a relationship in which they are eternally secure.
We believe that all who are born of the Holy Spirit belong to the one true Church, the Body of Christ.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and of the unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost.
We believe that God created men and women equal and unique. Both are co-heirs in the grace and forgiveness of God with access by grace through faith to all the gifts God has given through His Son.We believe that God created the unique covenant of marriage as a life-long commitment between one man and one woman.
We believe that God established local authority in the form of godly and qualified elders. The church functions best when the members exist under the authority of biblical eldership.
OUR VISIONWe exist to lead people into
loving and life-changing
relationships with God and
each other.
Redeeming God's family;
restoring God's world.
OUR RALLYING CRY
We are a worshipping family, therefore we value creating sacred space where we encounter the character, wonder and mystery of God.
We are a diverse family, therefore we value uniting diverse people to glorify God through the oneness of spirit and purpose.
We are a loving family, therefore we value cultivating loving relationships as the primary pathway for spiritual transformation.
We are a growing family, therefore we value communicating God's unchanging Word.
We are a graceful family, therefore we value reaching lost people and leading them to faith in Christ and relationship within the family.
We are a lasting family, therefore we value investing in emerging leaders who will influence the world for generations to come.
Ephesians 3-4; 1 Timothy 5; I Corinthians 12:12-26

I CORINTHIANS: BELIEVERS LIVING IN A SECULAR SOCIETY BEGINS SEPTEMBER 11(HOSTED BY THE BEREAN COMMUNITY)FIRESIDE ROOM Teacher: Kermit EcklebargerLike Seattle, the Church at Corinth was located in a city near a seaport. Many of the believers at Corinth were caught up in the struggle to live a distinctively Christian lifestyle in this immoral, materialistic anti-Christian secular society. In this letter Paul corrects many problems that arose from compromising with their extremely pagan society. Many practical principles will be discovered for living victoriously in such a hostile environment.
DEFENDING YOUR FAITH IN A SECULAR WORLD (BEGINS OCTOBER 2)(Hosted by Boomers & More...BAM!!!)COMMUNITY LIFE CENTERTeacher: Bryan MisteleThis class will give you the necessary tools needed to defend your faith and reach out to others in an increasingly hostile world to Christianity. This class will look at recent scientific, historical and archaeological discoveries that support Christianity and the Bible. You will learn the basic arguments to support why Christianity is the one true religion. This class is designed for anyone who wants to strengthen their faith or better share their faith with others.
