Twelve years ago our Kollel was established and structured in order to provide our students with the education necessary to reach this lofty goal. These precious scholars delve into the depths of Jewish Law and ultimately come to understand all its intricacies and practical applications. Twenty seven avreichim are currently studying in our Hora’ah – Jewish Law track. Others are on a waiting list due to lack of funds. Since the inception of our half day program, we have, baruch Hashem, completed significant portions of the Shulchan Aruch, Orach Chaim and Yoreh Deah: Milk and Meat, Salting of Meat, Kashering and Immersing of Vessels, Objects that cannot be moved on Shabbos and Yom Tov, Phrasing requests from Gentiles on Shabbos and Yom Tov, and a large portion of the rest of the Shabbos laws. And we are continuing on this ambitious and noble path. On a monthly basis our avreichim take and pass challenging written exams on the material they have mastered. In addition, after completing an entire field of study (approximately every year and a half) the avreichim are tested in writing by the Kollel and tested orally by distinguished Rabbanim and Poskim, who are consistently amazed at the scholars’ comprehensive knowledge of the subject matter. The crown jewel of the Kollel’s program is our special incentive program that offers additional stipends to reward uninterrupted study. As is known, continuous study is a foundation for acquisition of Torah knowledge. Not only do the avreichim not interrupt their own learning, they do not enable anyone else to interrupt them either; they commit to keep their cellular phones off during all the hours they study. Each week the Kollel members either hear a lecture or attend student-led talks (chaburos). One week the lecture is given by the Rosh Kollel: HaRav HaGaon Rebbi Chaim Stern, shlita, who gives a comprehensive review of the material and its practical applications. The following week, on a rotating basis, two members of the Kollel offer their own reviews of the subjects they have studied – an endeavor that reinforces and elevates each member’s level of learning very much. The formal lectures by the staff and the classes taught by the students are subsequently printed and distributed to all the members of the Kollel, in order to further reinforce their understanding of the material. Great is the merit of one who helps to support such dedicated scholars, and greater than purely intellectual discourse is study that leads to the actual performance of proper deeds – in this case study leading to the proper practice of Halachah. For this reason we are offering you a true partnership in this learning. Adopt an avreich for a month or dedicate a specific day for your merit each year – for your success, in memory of a loved one, in honor of a simcha or for any other reason. Your merit will surely be doubled by G-d, the Ultimate Provider of ‘Matching Funds.’ B’ezras Hashem, during the month or on the day you have selected, we will post an attractive sign with the details of your dedication at the Kollel and the avreichim will learn for your merit. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The finest of our graduates will, b’ezras Hashem, go on to serve Klal Yisrael as Poskim - arbiters of the Halachah.

Since the inception of our half day program, we have, baruch Hashem, completed significant

portions of the Shulchan Aruch, Orach Chaim and Yoreh Deah: Milk and Meat, Salting of Meat, Kashering and Immersing of Vessels, Objects that cannot be moved on Shabbos and Yom Tov, Phrasing requests from Gentiles on Shabbos and Yom Tov, and a large portion of the rest of the

Shabbos laws.

Your merit will surely be doubled by G-d, the Ultimate Provider of ‘Matching Funds.’

B’ezras Hashem, during the month or on the day you have selected, we will post an attractive sign with the details of your dedication at the Kollel and the avreichim will learn for your merit.
