There were a totnl of 40 VCKBMrOWS (Con!), 1 VClClGF (con!). 3 VO KIA (ITob) , 2 VO w.IA (oonr), 9 vc WIt~ (Prob), 1 VOO and 2 VOS deta:l.ned, The patrol captured 1 MAT 49, 1 CHICOM gremade, 1 MK-2 grenade, 55 pounds of rice. assorted clothing, doouoents and equipnent. The pl1-

trols also observed DUDerous trBils not shown on the nap, trail mrkers, nunerous harbor sites, 20 fighting holes and 12 bents were observed an a river. The patrols on one oooaaion heard dI'Ul:ls and saw flashing lights. There were 217 rounds of l1rtil .. lery fired in support of the patrols. There were no friendly casualties sustained.

(3) ~ During the reporting period the oonPlJlY oonpleted 1 pa­trols, avo raging 3 days with an average of 6 nen.per patrol. The patrols located nuoerous trails not shown on·~he nap. In addition, tho :patrols also looated a bridge and an. underwater road not shown on the cap. On several occasions the patrols heard S.A.F. The patrols had a total of 12 eneny sj,ghtinga to­taling '«)4 VO. FroIl these sightings the patl'ols cad.'e one con­tact and fired 8 Artillery missions which expended 41 rounds of Artillery. Casua.lties fron these aotions were 5 VC KIll (Conf) and 4 vc m (Prob). There were no friendly casualties sustain­ed.. Fntrol oaptured the fol1owing: 1 MAT-49 sm, 1 Pl'SH-41 SID, 7 M9.gazines, 4 CIIICOM grenades, 2 cartridge belts, 21,000 pias­ters, 87 Dong in North Vietnanese currenoy and msoellaneous docuoents. This conpony was under operational oontrol of 1st Mal'ine Division until 21 November 1966.

(4) 2.£Jl. During the reporting period the oompany canpleted 8 pa.­trols, a.veraging 3 days with an averBge of 8 Den per po.trol. Patrols located nunerous tra.ils not shown on the OIlp, sevem.l srJall harbor sites, two bunkers, ane trench, one cave and three fighting holes. The :r:atrola had 2 eneny sightings totalling 16 Vo. One contact and one Artillery Mission resulted in 2 VO KIA (Prob). On the night following the oontact pntrol heB.1'd crying and moaning, no VO were observed. The patl'ol did not sustain a:n:y casualties during the reporting period. There were 18 rds of Artillery fired in support of the patrols. Tpis oom­pany wag under oporational control of 1st Marine Division until 21 November 1966.

Petrol found a large harbor site in the vicinity of there extraction, that had b8en used recently.

Patrol also found what appears to be a roadway under a stream that is not oarkeJ on our r.laps. (See patrol overlay). This road is 6 to 7 ft. wide. (I~1fo. on bridge gee enclosure 1 and 2).
