PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFULSUNDAY, APRIL 12th

For the Church, that we may proclaim the hope and prom-ise of Christ’s resurrection in everything we do, we pray...Lord hear our prayer.

For those entrusted with leading their countries, that they may work to bring peace to nations ravaged by war and prosperity to areas devastated by poverty, we pray...Lord hear our prayer.

For those whose lives are threatened by violence, chronic illness, or sudden trauma, that in their ordeal they may be embraced by God, the source of everlasting life, we pray...Lord hear our prayer.

For all of us in this assembly, that we may always rejoice in the Lord’s resurrection and realize the salvation he won for us, we pray...Lord, hear our prayer.

For all of those affected by the Coronavirus throughout the world especially those in our families and community, we pray… Lord, hear our prayer.

For all the prayers that we hold in the silence of our hearts; for all our intentions spoken and unspoken, we pray...Lord, year our prayer.

BE SAFE, STAY HEALTHY, PRAY FOR EACH OTHER, GOD BE WITH YOU AND GOD BLESSS US ALL. WE WILL SEE YOU WHEN CORONA IS CORALLED.

MAKING A REPORT OF SEXUAL MISCONDUCT

CALL THE MICHIGAN ATTORNEY GENERAL: 844-324-3374 The Diocese of Kalamazoo has and will continue to cooperate with the Attorney General’s investigation and encourages anyone with information related to misconduct to call the re-porting number set-up by the Attor-ney General’s office at 844-324-3374.

A FAMILY PERSPECTIVE BY BUD OZAR: Today’s gospel instructs us Jesus “had to rise from the dead.” The dying we experience with unmet expectations in marriage and par-enting is normal to family life. Fami-lies must rise above disappointments and be Easter people all year long.

ALLELUIA, CHRIST IS RISEN

Easter isn’t a spiritual event that hap-pened just once, long ago; we don’t say “Christ has risen” but “Christ is risen,” because He rose, body and soul, and is still alive and with us to-day. That is the true meaning of East-er.

Christ is risen! Indeed He is risen!

Due to the world-wide COVID pan-demic, the collection for the Holy Land, normally taken up on Good Friday, is being transferred to the weekend of September 14th.

EASTER SUNDAYOF THE RESURRECTION OF THE LORD APRIL 12, 2020

END OF PANDEMIC PRAYERBY POPE FRANCIS

O Mary, you shine continuouslyon our journey as a sign of salvation

and hope. We entrust ourselves to you,

Health of the Sick. At the foot of the Cross

you participated In Jesus’ pain, with steadfast faith.

You, Salvation of the Roman People, know what we need.

We are certain that you will provide, so that,

as you did at Cana of Galilee, joy and feasting might return

after this moment of trial.Help us, Mother of Divine Love,

To conform ourselves toThe Father’s will

And to do what Jesus tells us:He who took our sufferings

upon Himself,And bore our sorrows to bring us,

Through the Cross,To the joy of the Resurrection.

Amen.

The facilities, rental of gym and services of St. Mary’s Assumption Parish are available to its active members. This includes use of the Church for Baptisms, Weddings, and other sacramental events and includes parishioner status in our parochial school. Active membership is determined by three things: being regis-tered in the parish for a sufficient period of time, faithful attendance at Mass on Sundays and Holy Days, and the use of the envelope system in support of the parish. Baptismal Instruc-tions and marriage instructions are by appointment (517-369-2120). Marriage Instructions and Marriage Discovery Weekend are requirements for anyone to be married at St. Mary’s Assump-tion Church. Call the rectory to make arrangements at least six months in advance. We the Parishioners of St. Mary’s Assumption Parish, Bronson, acknowledge the mission of Christ on earth and know that our aim is to have God working through us. As a Christian communi-ty, we respond to the call of Jesus Christ to love each other as Jesus loves us and to celebrate the Eucharist, so as to be strength-ened to accept the responsibility to serve rather than be served. Together we are committed to the spiritual, physical and educa-tional welfare of those of our parish family and beyond.
