Inclusion ProcessEveryone is welcome in our summer day camps!

The City of Bellevue welcomes the opportunity to provide modifica-tions for people with disabilities so that full participation in leisure and recreation programs, classes, services, and facilities may be enjoyed by all. The city provides reasonable modifications on a case-by-case, individualized basis including, but not limited to, training of staff, add-ed supervision, use of adaptive equipment, consultation with other professionals, and taking other steps to ensure a safe and enjoyable leisure experience.

Successful participation and modifications succeed with the commit-ment of staff, participants, as well as parents/guardians. Participants are asked to notify staff regarding reasonable modifications necessary for participation, if possible, at least two full weeks prior to the start of the program. This time allows us to provide excellent service to every camper. In some cases we may need more time to make a reasonable modification.

Individuals who have requested a modification will receive the city’s best efforts at providing adaptations and reasonable support in pro-grams, activities, and services. The city reserves the right to take any and all steps necessary, at any time, to ensure the safety and funda-mental nature of its programs, classes, or activities.

We look forward to serving you and your child in our programs, not only this summer, but year-round!

To request a modification:Register for a camp of your choice. You will be provided the opportunity to request modifications on our accessibility request form. For questions about the modification process, call 425-452-7686.

This form is reviewed by program staff who will work to identify modifica-tions which allow participation in camp.

Bellevue Youth Theatre Summer Day Camps

This camp is perfect for the child with little or no acting experience. Children will get the full theatre experience from auditions to performance. Your child will re-hearse, participate in arts & crafts and recreational activities - indoor and out. This camp will build your child’s self-esteem, confidence, teamwork, and basic memoriza-tion skills. Rehearsals and perfor-mances will be held outside in our amphitheatre.

We emphasize positive experience and growth of the child over stage time, role size, and number of lines. Children are cast into a role that is appropriate for their age and development level.
