Stimulus Bill Provisions and Client BenefitsPositive after-tax benefit available for all businesses that pay taxes from accelerated depreciation on new equipment and software placed in service in 2008

»60% depreciation first year on computer hardware rather than the usual 20% maximum (effectively an additional 40%)

»An additional 50% first year depreciation on software

Certain small businesses, whose total capital expenditures from all vendors are $800K or less, may have the ability to nearly double the amount of capital acquisitions expensed and accelerate the depreciation on the portion they capitalize

»Nearly double the maximum amount that can be immediately written-off from $128,000 to $250,000 during 2008

In response to the U.S. economic stimulus package that President Bush signed into law last week, IGF has announced the Economic Stimulus Advantage offering.

Clients can select from either enhanced low rate financing or a no-charge three month deferral on true leases for new IBM and non-IBM equipment installed in 2008.
